    Abstract

    Matrix is an array of numbers in rows and columns. A square matrix is a matrix with equal number of rows and columns. Only square matrices can be inverted. It is impossible to find the inverse of a non-square matrix. The number of rows of a matrix is written first, and is denoted by “i”; while the number of column is written last, and is denoted by “j”. For instance, the two matrices below are 2 × 3 and 3 × 2 matrices respectively. This article teaches how to obtain the adjoints and inverses of some square matrices
